Description

The Pilla Outlaw 62CIED is also known as the ‘Golden Berry’ lens, is a high-performance low-to-diminishing light lens designed to provide crystal clear target definition without over-saturating specific colours.

While your 53CIK (Kiwi) is a specialist for “flat” grey light and lime green targets, the 62CIED is a more “balanced” tool used when the sun is setting or when you are shooting in deep shade.

Key Uses and Features
  • Enhanced Definition (ED): Unlike the “Kiwi,” which manipulates specific colors to fight grey light, the ED (Enhanced Definition) technology lifts the entire color spectrum. This creates a high-resolution, vivid sight picture that looks natural but “sharper”.
  • Varying & Decreasing Light: With 62% light transmission, it is ideal for late afternoon, early evening, or very dark overcast days. It bridges the gap between medium-light lenses and near-clear low-light lenses.
  • True Color Perception: It is engineered for shooters who want to see the target and background with minimal color distortion. It provides “vividness” rather than a heavy tint.
  • Anti-Reflective ICE Coating: Like your other Pilla lenses, it uses a 7-layer anti-reflective finish and ICE technology to reduce glare from low-angle sun or stadium lights while repelling water and fog
Comparison: 62CIED vs. 53CIK
  • Lighting: The 53CIK (53% transmission) is for “flat” medium light; the 62CIED (62% transmission) lets in significantly more light for darker conditions.
  • Visual Effect: The 53CIK is a “filter” that kills green and pops lime/orange targets. The 62CIED is a “clarity” lens that makes everything—targets and background—appear in high definition. [1, 3, 4, 5]
This lens is a standard choice for shooters who find the “Kiwi” too dark as the day ends or for those who prefer a more natural, balanced view over a heavy color shift.
